ATLAS – Leads research in Geolinguistics in the domains of Phonology, Morphology and the Lexico\n. The research team has generated an extensive sound archive by conducting field work mostly throughout the last quarter of the 20th century and has specialized on the production of linguistic atlases and lexical databases.
CARDS/FLY – Leads research in Historical (linguistic) Variation with a particular interest on Discourse Analysis and Historical Pragmatics. A central aim of the research team is the production of electronic editions of texts displaying everyday writing in Modern and Contemporary times.
CORDIAL – Leads research in Comparative (generative) Linguistics focused on Dialect Syntax and Diachronic Syntax. The research team is concerned with showing how the study of (spatial and historical) variation contributes towards a better understanding of the cross-linguistic properties of natural languages and engaged into productively handling the syntactic annotation of corpora.
