It is with deep sorrow that we inform that our friend and workmate Isabel Leiria passed away. Retired professor of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, Isabel worked with us for decades, as a professor at FLUL and as a researcher at CLUL. Besides researching in other areas of Linguistics, Prof. Isabel Leiria stood out for her research in Portuguese as a Foreign Language. To CLUL, she leaves fundamental resources as the Corpus Leiria or the Corpus PESTRA; in our hearts, she leaves a deep void we will not be able to fill.
